Sherrie L. Faubion was
born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 9, 1962. She came to Houston in
late 1979, where she took a career-defining position with the
independent oil companies of Goldrus Drilling and GoldKing
Production. Ms. Faubion received her BBA in Finance, summa cum laude,
from the University of Houston in 1991, and her Juris Doctorate, cum
laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 2000.
Sherrie has enjoyed over 10 years as
a licensed attorney in the real estate, telecommunications and oil and
gas industries. To date, her experience has been in leasing,
acquisitions and divestments, with an emphasis on due diligence and
title examination throughout Texas, for both law firms and Fortune 100
companies. Ms. Faubion’s corporate background has provided her with a
deep understanding of the need to effectively balance risk versus
cost, making her a strong believer in delivering a high-quality
product at a low unit cost.
Prior to joining Jones Gill, Ms.
Faubion was the senior title attorney for a large Houston energy-based
law firm where she rendered hundreds of oil and gas title opinions,
specializing in roof-top plays.
Ms. Faubion is currently a member of
the State Bar of Texas, Oil Gas and Mineral Law and Real Estate,
Probate and Trust Law sections.
